Christmas Loving...

Brown Bros. - Lexia: My all time favourite dessert wine

Christmas - my absolute favourite festive holiday of the year (Well, it's pretty on par with Chinese New Year!).

This Christmas has been slightly quieter, but in a good way. It means more time spent with my family. I'm not exactly that close to my brother, but I'm happy to say that over the pass 2 days, I've probably talked and laughed more with him than 2 weeks put together in the past. It's definitely an improvement which I'm hoping will continue.

Christmas Eve - Was spent over an awesome homecooked dinner with the family and grandma. Of coz, I played my part and whipped up a pot of hearty French Onion soup (from scratch I must add...need to boast here a bit) and some Lime-Mint Chicken Kebabs. Dinner was splendid and the brother even brought his new gf home. (Die...need to play the catch up game now...stress!) The traditional midnight mass followed, afterwhich proceeded to a friend's house for some X'mas cheer over drinks and good music!

I know this probably sounds weird to some....but I'm loving my Christmas pressie from my parents! I've always wanted a blender...yes, you heard me right. I secretly enjoy cooking and a blender has always been one of the kitchen appliances I wanted. Not just any blender...but one that's powerful enough to crush ice and stuff! Thanks Mum & Dad! Frozen margaritas anyone?

My blender - my new baby!

Christmas Day - The neighbours invited the family over for lunch. I always look forward to their invitations. The husband and wife are definitely some mean cooks. Their Ox-tail soup is to die for and this time round they even served up 4kg worth of fresh Sashimi! *faints* I've managed to get their lobang for Sashimi supply. Heehee.

Boxing Day - Can you believe it...I actually had to report to work this morning coz of an ongoing project. Thankfully it was only for a few hours. Well sadly, the older you get, the less presents you open as well. So boxing day has kinda lost it's meaning to me. But hey, nothing beats having some close friends over for some homecooked dinner from the heart! That's right....I'm the X'mas chef for tonight and I'm really hoping eventhing turns out fine! Gonna start prepping right after posting this entry up.

More photos and updates on the dinner outcome tonight...
