Welcoming 2010

HELLO 2010!!!

First and foremost, a very blessed and happy new year to one and all...

NYE was great. In fact I only got back home abt 2hrs ago, and for some apparent reason, I'm still very much awake despite the lack of sleep last night. Nothing better than ushering in the new year with family and close friends. It's nice to know that this group of people have stuck with each other thru thick and thin for as long as I can remember....(they've been a part of my life since I was born!). So it's great to see that after all these years, they still make it a point to gather at someone's house on special occasions! Because they've seen me grow up, you never fail to get the usual comments about how fast you're maturing...blah blah blah. As usual, the food was simple but delightful and the atmosphere in the dining room was warm and nice.

Made my exit early to get to another friend's gathering somewhere in Pasir Panjang. The place is just awesome. The view overlooked the sea and the pretty lights of the ships in the night sky made it even more magical as we sat in the balcony drinking and chatting away. Seriously with this bunch of people, your liver really works OT! I'm giving mine a break for the next week at least! Come midnight and the NYE cheer filled the room, we even managed to catch sight of the fireworks display coming from the 3 countdown areas, plus the honking and flares fired from the ships.

I never believe in making new year resolutions at the beginning of each year. No one really keeps to them anyway. I personally feel that setting targets and goals along the way when you actually feel ready to do so is definitely more realistic. At least you won't be fooling yourself into doing and achieving something that you are not even ready to accomplish.

Another family gathering with the mum's side this evening...this festive season sure has been a busy one for me. No complaints though, coz I'm loving the time spent with my family and friends. =)
